In 2004, long before ceramic became popular, we began
working on our ceramic bearings. We had heard of a few
top pros using them and gaining an advantage over their
competitors. We tested and researched ceramic bearings
for almost 12 months.
We found that you couldn't just put ceramic balls into a
bearing like other companies do and get the results you
wanted. You had to build the entire bearing with ceramic
in mind. The races, seals, retainer and grease all had
to match the ceramic ball or the performance would suffer.
We perfected our bearings long before other companies hopped
onto the bandwagon and tried to catch up.
As we enter our 6th year of offering ceramic bearings, we
have again expanded our line-up to include options for the
most popular BB, wheel and derailleur systems.
VCRC Ceramic Bearings are non-corrosive, reduce weight, last
longer, accelerate faster and roll smoother, with less
friction than steel balls and other ceramic brands. With VCRC Ceramic Bearings, More
of the watts you produce are used to propel you forward,
not overcome drivetrain friction.
By switching to VCRC Ceramic Bearings, speed gains of 4%
are possible.

Every aspect of our VCRC Ceramic Bearings was designed for
cycling speed.
Tech Data...
VCRC
Ceramic Bearings are rounder have up to 15% less friction
than steel bearings.
VCRC
Ceramic Bearings are harder than steel and last up to 10
times longer (with proper maintenance).
VCRC
Ceramic Bearings weigh less than steel bearings.
This aids in acceleration.
VCRC
Ceramic Bearings naturally push away dirt and
contaminants.
VCRC
Ceramic Bearings are not subject to corrosion like steel
bearings.
VCRC
Ceramic Bearings are cleanable and rebuildable.
With
specifically designed rubber seals and VCRC Speed Cream™grease,
friction is some 20-25 times less than regular seals and
grease.

How to grease your VCRC Ceramic Shimano 10, FSA
or SRAM Bottom Bracket (Please note the method is the
same for our SRAM BB except you will need to remove the non drive
cup and remove the SRAM shim to access the bearing. You can
press the shim out using a socket or other device that matches the
diameter of the shim).
This
method of greasing should also be used for our
other types of BBs (Campy UT, BB30, BB86 and BB90), wheel
bearings and pulley bearings as needed.
How to clean your VCRC Ceramic Bearings
Cleaning is
only required if your bearings have gotten dirty. If you
grease the bearings often keeping them well lubed and clean,
cleaning is rarely needed.
