In 2004, long before ceramic became popular, we began working on our ceramic bearings.  We had heard of a few top pros using them and gaining an advantage over their competitors.  We tested and researched ceramic bearings for almost 12 months.  

We found that you couldn't just put ceramic balls into a bearing like other companies do and get the results you wanted.  You had to build the entire bearing with ceramic in mind.  The races, seals, retainer and grease all had to match the ceramic ball or the performance would suffer.  We perfected our bearings long before other companies hopped onto the bandwagon and tried to catch up.

As we enter our 6th year of offering ceramic bearings, we have again expanded our line-up to include options for the most popular BB systems available.  Shimano 10, FSA, SRAM, Campy, BB30, BB86, BB90, cyclocross specific BBs and more!

FSA Mega Exo BBs have been plagued by alignment issues.  The design of the crank is such that it is possible to put too much pressure on the bearings causing them to wear out very quickly.  We decided to design our own solution for FSA Mega Exo BBs.   We start with our successful Shimano 10 BB.  Then we make 2 important changes.  We remove the plastic center sleeve and replace it with an alloy sleeve that supports the inner bearings races so the bearings do not get overtorqued.  Next we supply a crush washer to ensure proper width. VCRC Speed Cream™  is designed for low friction/high wear resistance.  It has excellent water resistance & rust protective properties.  It is specially formulated NLGI Grade 2.  This grease is useful in maintaining your bearings to ensure proper performance. 10 ml Low Friction/High Wear Resistance Water Resistant Rust Protective Extreme Pressure Resistance Works with all brands of Ceramic Bearings Package in a convenient Grease syringe This is the only grease we recommend using with VCRC Ceramic Bearings

Factory Cleaning Services

Ceramic Bearing Factory Cleaning	In Stock: Yes
Proper maintenance will greatly improve the life of your bearings. Factory cleaning goes much further than any home or shop cleaning We use an Industrial Ultrasonic cleaner We can restore bearings to a like new state We highly recommend that you send your bearings to us at least once a year We will rotate BB bearings (drive to non drive, etc.) to help even out wear. The drive side bearing always takes more load and this helps prolong life. Please remove bearings from wheels (DO NOT SEND US YOUR WHEELS). BBs and Pulleys, it is OK to send as is. Please wipe any grease from bearings. After purchase, you will need to ship us your bearings with a copy of this cleaning form.
