The Beginning
VCRC Bike originated in 2002. At that time we were
known as Velo Carbon. We were part of the initial wave
of the Carbon Boom in the cycling industry. For several
years we focused only on the best performing and lightest
weight carbon fiber products.
We still offer many carbon items for sale but instead of
focusing solely on carbon fiber, in 2004 we began to develop other
lightweight products for our customers.
Growing
At this time, we changed our name from Velo Carbon to VCRC
Bike. This allowed us the freedom to use the best
possible materials for the job. We began a line of
lightweight alloy parts- stems, handlebars and seatposts while
still offering our line of great carbon products.
At the same time we were launching into a new avenue, ceramic
bearings. In a joint research venture between F1 Ceramic Bearings
and ourselves, we created a new ceramic bearing: one that
combined exceptional performance and reasonable
cost. Gone were the days of either way too
expensive quality ceramic bearings or cheap quality
knock-offs. We were the first company to offer
reasonable cost and a high level of performance in a ceramic
bearing.
VCRC Ceramic bearings were then given to professional
cyclists to give us valuable feedback. The results: a
World Track Championship, countless National Championships, World
Records and enough miles covered in the Professional Peleton
to make you dizzy!!
Presently
Now VCRC Bike offers carbon fiber parts, alloy parts and ceramic
bearings all with our philosophy of giving you the best
possible performance and the best prices!
We are able to keep prices low since we sell direct over
the internet. We also use word of mouth advertising
which helps keep prices down. While other larger
companies spend top dollar on advertising, telling you that
their stuff is the best, we choose to let our products speak
for themselves.
Our products are manufactured specifically for
us, allowing us to offer great prices and great service!
Since we sell online, we do not have to
provide fancy boxes to be displayed at retail, we use OEM
Packaging. This
again allows us to provide fantastic prices!
